This weekend marked another exciting step forward on our Lakestead journey. We’re thrilled to share a quick update on how things are growing, literally!
Seedlings Find a New Home
After weeks of nurturing our seedlings in pots on the back porch, it was finally time to transplant them into their new outdoor raised beds. This is one of our favorite stages of gardening, watching tiny seedlings graduate into thriving plants that will soon produce food for our family.
A Small Surprise in the Garden
While transplanting our seedlings, we noticed something wasn’t quite right with our Basil plants. Upon closer inspection, we discovered a bit of caterpillar damage. It’s all part of learning as we go, and we quickly reached for our trusted garden ally, Neem Oil. This organic solution will help keep pests at bay without harming beneficial insects or our plants.
